EGYPT, Alexandria. Hadrian. AD 117-138. BI Tetradrachm (24.5mm, 12.92 g, 11h). Dated RY 12 (AD 127/8). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Ptah-Hephaestus standing facing, head right, holding long scepter and tongs; L ∆ω∆Є KATOV (date) around. Köln 981; Dattari (Savio) 1448; K&G 32.457; RPC III 5712; Emmett 882.12. Lightly toned with hints of iridescence and luster, some roughness, trace deposits. VF. Scarce representation of this syncretic deity.
